FRIETH FEST FAQS.
Where do I get a ticket? Right here. Individual tickets required for everyone. And an additional camping ticket per pitch for those camping.
Cash or card? There is limited signal on site, so please bring cash!
Can we bring our dog? Although Chiltern Rural Retreat Campsite do allow dogs, we have decided to make it a no dog event. Sorry to all our four-legged friends!
What food will be available? Chef Chris will be cooking up food throughout the day including vegan chilli, beef chilli, his famous ‘dirty’ steak ciabattas and Lacey’s sausages. We’ll run a tuck shop & ice cream stand for the kids to buy sweets and snacks. GF and Vegan will be catered for.
The bar team will be serving wine/beer/cider/pimms/prosecco/gin and soft drinks. There are two drinking water taps on site. Free squash and water all day. Please bring water bottles for kids to reduce waste.
For breakfast we’ll offer bacon, eggs, muffins, pastries, cereal and fruit, courtesy of Waitrose. Plus coffee van Dan will be on hand from 7am.
S’mores kits will be available from the tuck shop for the campfire in the evening.
Please bring the kids water bottles to help reduce waste. Squash and water will be available free of charge.
Can I bring my own alcohol? In the spirit of the event (excuse the pun), all food and drink sales help us to raise money for the school. So please come and eat, drink and be merry! We ask that everyone drinks responsibly. It is a family event and your children remain your responsibility at all times!
What time does it start? 2pm Saturday.
What is happening at the event? Please click here for the full event line-up.
What should I wear? The event is outdoors, in a field! Dress for the weather and then add a layer. For those staying into the evening bring hats as it will cool down. We will have marquees and gazebos set up for shelter if it rains! And bring a torch for the evening to navigate back to your car/tent!
Weather! The show must go on! We have been gifted the field for one weekend so sadly we are not able to reschedule the event for rain!
Cancellation. Sorry but tickets are non-refundable.
Liability and Childcare Responsibility.
Although the event is organised by the school PTA we accept no liability for any loss or damage to property or persons on site, nor do Chiltern Rural Retreat.
CAMPING FAQs
IMPORTANT STUFF
In order to respect the local residence, there is a strict no noise policy from 10pm - 8am. Anyone not respecting the rules will be required to leave immediately.
We invite the children to run free and enjoy the great outdoors but they remain the responsibility of the adult/parent/guardian who they came with at all times.
Do I need to provide my own camping gear? Yes. You will need to provide (and set up) your own camping area. If you don’t have anything ask around. Failing that decathlon and ASDA do great budget camping gear, or you can check out Mountain Warehouse in Marlow.
Camping facilities. Toilets and drinking water will be available.
Please note – there is no electricity in this field, so do remember to bring torches so you can navigate your way around after sunset!
Can we have our own BBQ? No. You are welcome to bring your own snacks but no BBQs. We will provide paid BBQ between 2-7pm, and again for breakfast between 8-10am. The aim of the event is to raise funds for the school and catering/refreshments at events is a big part of raising funds. Those camping on the Friday evening are welcome to have a BBQ on the Friday.
What time can I set up? You are welcome onsite from 4pm Friday. Frieth Fest officially starts at 2pm. We ask that you please stay clear of the Festival Area until we are fully set up
What time does it finish on Sunday? We ask that everyone is packed up and off-site by midday on Sunday. Please stay and help clear the site if you can. Many hands make light work!
Who can I speak to to find out more? Please email any questions Alex Bruce on Friethschoolauction@gmail.com or ask me at the school gate if you see me.
Can I bring a gazebo? Yes. Bring any ‘luxury’ items you need.
Can I bring a fire pit? The campsite provide firepits for us to use. As they have kindly gifted us the field we’ll need to provide our own logs. Please bring some for the communal firepit if you have some!
Is there any electricity? No.
Where can I park? For safety with so many little children around we ask that you please move your cars to the front of the field once you have unpacked.
Is there wifi? Nope! You’re off the grid for 24 hours! Embrace it!
Is there phone signal? Kinda. But not guaranteed.
Can we invite friends outside of the Frieth School Community? We would like to keep the event to Frieth School families only. It’s a great chance to meet fellow parents in a relaxed environment.
