Our ECO Council: Making a Real Difference

At Frieth C.E.C. School, our ECO Council has been at the heart of some truly inspiring environmental initiatives in recent years. Their passion, creativity, and determination to make a positive impact have led to meaningful projects both within our school and across the wider community.

Working Together for a Greener Future

In partnership with the local environmental group Greener Frieth, our pupils have taken on ambitious challenges that showcase their commitment to sustainability. Together, they have:

  • Created a powerful portfolio on plastic recycling, which they hand-delivered to the Coca-Cola Head Office to raise awareness about reducing plastic waste.

  • Designed anti-littering posters that were displayed at festivals and pupil events across the country, spreading their message far beyond our village.

  • Produced road safety posters for the local area, earning recognition and a personal letter from local MP Emma Reynolds.

These projects reflect the council’s belief that even small voices can spark big change.

Bronze Green Futures Award

We are thrilled to announce that Frieth C.E.C. School has been awarded the Bronze Green Futures Award from Greener Henley. This award celebrates our school’s ongoing commitment to building a greener, more sustainable future for our children—starting right here in our local community.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work of our ECO Council, the support of our staff and families, and the strength of our partnerships with local environmental groups. We couldn’t be prouder of what our pupils have achieved.
